BOARDWALK - R.I.P CANON REBEL #4

So many cheesy jingles invade my brain when I see the Boardwalk, thanks to a lifetime of growing up in a tourist town. Well done laptop storage in allowing me to share an archive from October 1, 2010.

FAVORITE PARK.

Sunset January 25, 2012 from my park; one that in my mind is kind of secretly tucked away. Embracing the trees to mix things up.

3 DAYS OF RAIN

I thought these rain clouds would get more color, but I guess they were too dark. Sunset January 23, 2012.

AFTER THE RAIN.

Wet weather just in time for the Niners game tomorrow.  Sunset January 21, 2012 from Seabright beach and the lighthouse .

THIS PICTURE IS AS OLD AS RON PAUL

I took this sometime in the 1990's when I was a youngin' at Disneyland. Surely a disposable camera, standing next to the Matterhorn ride and obviously a sunset follower way back in the day.

SECOND TO LAST FOR 2011.

Upon using an old camera card I came upon December 30, 2011 sunset pictures. Downtown Santa Cruz, I remember going to the top of this parking structure to get a better view since I wasn't beachside, but I went out later that night so apparently my memory of this sunset was retconned.

LATE.

My favorite style of clouds showed up earlier in the day. They never stick around long, and I've only seen them present at sunset a few times...Nonetheless, I was too late to snap the pre-sunset colors in full, so was left with what is below. January 15, 2012. Apparently there are palm trees on my street, who knew?

R.I.P. CANON REBEL #3

Today was 65 degrees, literally not a cloud in the sky. Along with my archive sunset photos, here's a picture of a Santa Cruzer I spotted today - dreads and all - on his bike of sorts enjoying the nice day.

This sunset is from December 24, 2009 - I delayed Christmas Eve dinner with my family to stop at the beach because I'm a jerk. Wasn't the first time, won't be the last.

R.I.P. CANON REBEL #2

This sunset is a good example of something that I thought would be nothing. It took a bit of time to get there, but I'm glad I didn't bail. Taken January 6, 2011...archives until current weather conditions improve.

R.I.P CANON REBEL #1

It's been an incredibly dry winter. January, and mid 60's all week. During the lull I've decided to post sunrise/sunset photos from previous dates so I can make it through endless forecasts of clear blue skies. Sunrise December 28, 2010.

Sunrises stick with me. I don't make it out of bed early as often as I'd like to,  so they're kind of a sacred thing. I remember this morning really well.

A CHANGE OF SCENERY

I went out to Long Marine Lab for tonight's sunset. Aside from snapping shots cliffside rather than in the sand, I also got to see that the blue whale skeleton gets adorned with lights for the holiday season. January 4, 2012 - stellar sunset for the new year.

JANUARY AGAIN

I wasn't coastal tonight, but got to see the clouds form a shape I hadn't seen previously. There was an interesting arch-like display right as the sun was setting, but by the time I got to a place to pull my car over the clouds had begun to shift. If I had any blog readers I'd ask if someone had a wide lens and was able to get a shot...January 2, 2012
